ABOUT THE SKETCHBOARD PRO

Sketchboard Pro is our award-winning tablet stand designed by professional illustrators that upgrades your personal drawing tablet to a more comfortable drawing experience by creating a versatile workstation that you can take pretty much wherever you go. 

Its familiar drawing board design offers a flat surface for resting your arms and for making bigger, bolder brush strokes. Once you stop holding on to your drawing tablet, your art will improve, and you’ll get more work done, all while free of the pain typically felt from hours of tablet drawing.

DESIGNED FOR ARTISTS

Whether you're drawing at a desk, on a couch, or the kitchen table, Sketchboard Pro offers versatility, stability, and relief. 

The Sketchboard Pro includes strong legs that slot into magnetic sockets on the back of the board allowing for many drawing angles in both landscape or portrait orientation. The legs store within the back of the board when not in use. 

When paired with our universal VESA + Tripod Adaptor, Sketchboard Pro offers a more robust and dynamic workstation by enabling you to dock the Sketchboard with most VESA devices and tripods available. 

UPGRADEABILITY

The Sketchboard Pro is designed with longevity in mind. It is modular with two key components—the base frame and the center cradle. The center is modular and can be swapped with a new center to support a differently sized tablet. When you get a new tablet that is also supported by Sketchboard Pro, there’s no need to get a whole new board. We offer new center cradles packaged as Upgrade Kits in our shop.   

WHY NOT THE BIGGER GALAXY TAB MODELS? 

We’re looking forward to offering support for more of Samsung’s popular Galaxy Tabs. We’re kicking things off with the S11 / S12 model because its dimensions and the locations of its camera, buttons, and charging port all fit perfectly within specs of our current board frame, which was designed to accommodate Apple’s range of iPads.

Since the center section of the Sketchboard is modular, in order to support the Galaxy Tab S11-S12 models, we’ll need only to design and manufacture a new center section (Upgrade Kit) and not a new board frame. Not having to develop a whole new board drastically reduces the amount of funds we’d need to raise. If this campaign succeeds, and you tell us you want it, we’ll be able to open up support for the larger Galaxy Tabs.

HOW THIS CROWDFUND WORKS

Our pre-order campaign works much like any other crowdfund campaign. We need enough pledged pre-orders, in this case 100, to fund the production of this Sketchboard Pro model.

If the goal of 100 pre-orders is met before the time’s up, the campaign is a success and all pre-order payments are collected at the conclusion of the campaign. Production is kicked off and in a few months we will all have this brand new Sketchboard in our hands.

If the goal is not met, however, no funds are collected, pledges and any add-ons are canceled, and we all just pretend this never happened. 

WHAT ABOUT EUROPE AND UK?

At launch, this campaign is limited to orders we can ship from North America, however, as soon as the goal of 100 pledges is met, we will open up pre-orders for EU and UK on our Europe shop. 

ABOUT US 

It all began at a little art studio called Braintreehouse, a collective of artist friends who gathered together in ernest to try to make the dumb kinds of games we wanted to play. We managed to make and publish one or two! Shockingly, our gaming aspirations were quickly overshadowed by the modest success of an accidental piece of iPad furniture. 

Back in those days, we were all loving drawing on our iPads, but we super hated the surprising new pains we were feeling in our hands, arms, and shoulders that came from holding on to the oftentimes overheated iPad. If a few days of drawing on handheld tablets caused as much grief for us old timers, what would years or decades of this do to younger generations of artists? Thus, the Sketchboard Pro was born!

Shipping

Shipping rates are calculated based on delivery address. Order fulfillment is expected to begin in or around March, 2027. We ship to the Americas, Asia, and Oceania from our home base in the US and our shipping partner in Toronto. Orders destined for UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa ship from our locations in Ireland and UK.
